travel thursday: chicago marathon.

This destination is not so exotic, especially considering I live in Milwaukee. However, running a marathon is a pretty big deal! My husband Brendan ran his third marathon this past weekend, and we had a bit of time to see a few spots in the lovely city of Chicago.

We took the train into the city and checked out the big expo on Saturday. Then, up early on Sunday, Brendan ran, and I ran around the course trying to spot him!

I snapped a few shots of cool buildings and sights with the limited time we had. Marathons are so inspirational - if you've never been a spectator at one, I'd highly recommend it!
