a book and its cover.

coralie bickford-smith covers

They say never to judge a book by its cover. But, as a designer, a book cover always yields my first judgement when it comes to literature. When I discovered the beautiful work of Coralie Bickford-Smith, I promptly decided that she ought to design pretty much all book covers. Her gorgeous patterns, eye-catching colors, and vintage feel make even the classics fresh again.

I particularly love her Cloth Bound Classics series and the F. Scott Fitzgerald series. The gold! The patterns! My bookshelves would love to hold these covers.
