Today I thought it would be fun to share a few of the books on my to-read list. I love changing it up among novels, nonfiction, and educational books, and these are a few that are currently on my radar:
Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris: His books are always entertaining, and I’m finally getting around to reading his latest one. The series of short stories and essays about his life are a great mix of funny and insightful.
The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon: This novel looks totally enticing - telling a story of book dealer in Barcelona following the Spanish Civil War who discovers mysterious book burnings. Suspense!
Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife by Mary Roach: This one is an upcoming pick for my book club. I’ve always been a skeptic when it comes to ghosts and the supernatural, so I’m totally intrigued to see what they discovered.
Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn: A bit of girl power here. The authors tell the stories of women in Asia and Africa who must overcome struggles, and how the key to economic progress lies in unleashing women’s potential. It comes highly recommended to me, and a great read for a global perspective.
What have you read lately or are looking forward to reading? I’d love to hear!
